Introduction: Why you Need to do your Own Research

-Important things you should know about our critics-

Special Note: Before we begin this paper, we want our readers to know that this is not intended to bash our critics. We are not trying to humiliate or embarrass them. This has “nothing” to do with who they are as individuals. This is about their work. We acknowledge that they to are God-fearing men. We believe, from the documents they have written, that they are truly sincere in their ministries and that they truly want to help us see what they feel is the truth. The following is an analysis of some of the sad but real truths we have discovered in our research of what the critics say. The reason for this is to show our readers the seriousness as to why they need to do their “own” research and “never” take someone else’s word for it… no, not even ours! Why shouldn’t we simply trust someone else’s words on the matter? It’s very simple:

Jeremiah 17:5
(5) Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Within this section you will read of unusual statements made by our critics. You will find that some of our critics have either mistakenly or purposely concealed evidence that might prove the opposite of what they are claiming. You will find other critics, who accuse Ellen White of plagiarism, commit plagiarism themselves. All will have a link provided to their respected locations proving what we will show. Please understand that our critics also have access to the internet, and can, after viewing this material, change the content on their sites. Actually, that’s exactly what we are hoping for! And we will keep in eye out so that if they honestly do, we will share it here with you as well. But because, as you will soon see, some have already been shown these errors and have not made the changes necessary, we are aiming this document more towards YOU, the researcher. At times we will provide a screen-copy of their webpage. We simply want you to see this for yourself, and we want to cover ourselves in case some might accuse us in the future of making this up.

We acknowledge that these same critics urge their readers to research all the evidence for themselves. Well that is what we have done here, and we now want to share with you what we have found. See for yourselves why we believe no man should be trusted on spiritual matters, and why you need to do your own research. All of these critics can be found online, and their words can be verified for yourselves. Some of the information contained herein was collected by the research done by Brother Bob at http://www.ellengwhite.info/. Please note that we are not depending on this or any website to do the research for us, we simply recognize that they have also done extensive research which you also need to see. We have personally looked up what they have said as well to verify. You will notice this also as you read along.
